{"id":5654,"date":"2015-09-07T10:07:39","date_gmt":"2015-09-07T14:07:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/glenprovidencepark.org\/?p=5654"},"modified":"2015-09-18T19:04:12","modified_gmt":"2015-09-18T23:04:12","slug":"9-12-2015-let-there-be-rock-school","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/glenprovidencepark.org\/2015\/09\/07\/9-12-2015-let-there-be-rock-school\/","title":{"rendered":"9-13-2015 Let There Be Rock School!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>For the final\u00a0of four concerts in\u00a0our\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/glenprovidencepark.org\/2015\/05\/01\/2015-summer-concert-series\/\" target=\"_blank\">2015 Summer Concert Series<\/a>, Friends of Glen Providence Park is excited\u00a0to present a youth concert by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/delcorockschool?fref=ts\" target=\"_blank\">Delco Let There Be Rock School<\/a>!<\/strong>\u00a0The School will\u00a0draw from their pool of talent, and present 6 or 7 bands to play <strong>a variety of music, from country to theatre to rock!<\/strong>\u00a0In the rear of the audience, there will be free vocal and guitar workshop tents where anyone at the concert is free to get musical evaluations and recommendations from the staff.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sunday,\u00a0September 13<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>3:00-6:00 pm<\/strong> &#8211; *<em>note the earlier starting time!<\/em><br \/>\nGlen Providence Park Stage, State Street, Media<br \/>\n<em>Rain date: Sunday, September 13<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>***RAIN DATE UPDATE: Due to forecasted thunderstorms, we will use our rain date of Sunday, September 13 at 3:00.***<\/em>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Delco School of Rock teaches music lessons in\u00a0a supportive environment <\/strong>&#8211; it serves a Community Center where its students collaborate with other students, practice their instruments, and do their homework. Live performances create empowering opportunities for the students, and are fun for the audience and bands alike!<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.5;\"><strong>So bring a blanket or chair, and relax on the lawn by the stage to enjoy an afternoon of exciting performances!<\/strong>\u00a0After the concert, head into Media for dinner and shopping, just 2 blocks away on State Street.
